It’s important to find a therapist that’s a good fit for your needs

Psychotherapy serves as a space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a safe and supportive space. It’s a collaborative process where you and I will work together to identify and address the pieces that are impacting your mental health and overall well-being.

Hi, I’m Aria Kenney, a licensed psychotherapist in California

During my time as a therapist, I’ve worked in various settings including schools, nonprofit clinics, and private practice. My work thus far has incorporated work with clients from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and more. I do specialize and have an extensive background in working with those impacted by sexual violence.

My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I believe that every individual has their unique strengths and abilities, and that therapy is an opportunity to build upon those strengths to achieve greater fulfillment in life. I work from a collaborative approach, tailoring the work done in sessions to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual. I also incorporate somatic techniques to strengthen, support, and deepen an individual’s connection with their own body.

I graduated from Santa Clara University, with my Master’s in Counseling Psychology. I continue to deepen my work and expertise through ongoing consultation and training in psychodynamic and somatic techniques and theory.
